The association “Latgale Culinary Heritage Centre” is located in the Krāslava Counts Plater Palace complex.

The Latgale region is special for its unique natural landscapes, cultivated traditions, and rich and diverse culture, while Latgalian hospitality is a calling card of Latgale even beyond the borders of Latvia. A true Latgalian has never sent a guest away with an empty stomach. Every visitor is treated to a hearty meal, most often featuring a dish from the Latgale culinary heritage – griušļi, kļockas, or buļbu bļīni. Thanks to local delicacies, Latgale is an ideal destination for food lovers. In various farms, visitors can taste homemade cheese and ice cream, honey and herbal teas, freshly baked bread and flaxseed oil, various fish and meat dishes, confectionery, as well as participate in the rye bread baking process and enjoy homemade berry wine.
