The museum offers visitors to get acquainted with information development, as well as the history of mail development both in Latvia and in the world.

In Aglona there are no regional museums, so the creators of the museum Elizabete Viļuma-Gražule and Arturs Gražulis decided to combine the three main components through the history of mail. Visitors will find out interesting facts on the history of Aglona and contemplate the presence of God in a variety of secret encryptions via information.

The museum gathered a lot of historical material evidence, for example – the world’s first postage stamp – the black penny. As well as a collection – of the history of the 150-year-old stamp on the territory of Latvia.

Visitors will be able to hear the story of how the bee post actually worked, and experience other interesting opportunities. This will be a journey from the time of the drum telegraph to the present day. Following the path of post office development, you will turn the most interesting pages of the history of Latvia.
