Nature Park “Medumu Ezeraine” area is founded in 1977, its common area is 1375 ha. The Nature Park has characteristic relief of hillocks, ramparts, and chains. The highest points are Medumu hill, Samanku hill, Skirstenu hill, and Ziedinu hill. The major part of the territory encompasses farmlands, between which is located fir-tree and rich deciduous forests. In delves and lakes and the flood lands and marshes, there are herbal plants and black alders. Altogether this makes glorious landscapes. Here you can see many protected plant species – Upland Enchanter’s – Nightshade, Bitter-Vetch, and Common Gromwell.

The Nature Park is rich with many lakes – Great and the Little Ilgas Lake, Medumu Lake, Gravelu Lake, Samanka Lake, and Skirstenu Lake.

In the territory of the park, a hiking path is created (length about 2km), it leads near World war I bunkers, old trenches, and manors basement.
