Augsdaugava District Tourism, Recreation and Culture Agency “TAKA” is created on 21th of February 2013. The aims of the Agency are the promotion of tourism development in the Augsdaugava district, elaboration of the tourism development plan, establishment of new tourism products, collecting and systematizing existing and prospective tourism, culture, and sports objects, creating and maintaining tourism services provider database, promoting tourism, culture, and sports objects in Augsdaugava district, organizing events in these objects, selling souvenirs, promoting cooperation with tourism operators, administration of Višķi stage and stadium.
