Cycling route "EuroVelo 11"
“EuroVelo 11” is a scenic route, which in 2020 has been prolonged all through the Latgale region. Labeled by some bicycle tourists as the “Beast of the East”, this lengthy route with its 6,550 km stretches from the northeast tip of Norway all the way down to sunny Greece.
In the Latgale region “EuroVelo 11” route allows cyclists to enjoy beautiful, somewhat wild, and explorative nature values, lots of lakes and rivers, hillocks, meadows, and amazing views.
Length of the route: ~ 370 km
Logistics: The route is a continuous line, passable, divided into stages, depending on the physical preparedness and interests of the participants.
Road surface: Most of the route is paved, except for some sections.
