Water tourism development center is created in the nature reservation “Lubāna mitrājs” (Lubāns wetland) territory, near the largest lake in Latvia – Lubāns.

Nature reservation was created to provide uniform protection of the inland wetland complex. Lubāna wetland is a unique European and world-class natural reservation, with an outstanding role in the conservation of many specially protected species and habitats.
Lubāns and nearby fish ponds are one of the most important places for resting and feeding for migrating waterbirds in all countries, also it is one of the five best places for nesting for 29 in Europe specially protected bird species. Generally in Lubāns wetland are observed 224 bird species, of which 185 are nesting here.

Center offers:

14 sleeping places;
3 rooms in the main building, 1 room in the neighbor building;
the observation deck on the roof terrace;
conference hall;
fireplace hall;
apartments “Water room” (for 2 persons, WC, shower, TV, Wi-Fi);
apartments “Winds room” (for 3 persons, WC, shower. TV, Wi-Fi).

Sports activities:

tennis court and inventory (rackets, balls);
volleyball court and a volleyball;
water skiing, life jacket, rope with handle;
fishing in Kvapānu ponds from the shore or from a boat;
rowing boats;
bicycles rental.
