After the renovation in 2021, the park has significantly expanded the possibilities for active recreation for both children and youth. The area is divided into several zones where everyone will find something interesting to do.

For the more active – a new skate park, for the more sporty – BMX track and an outdoor fitness area. Families with smaller children can relax in an environmentally friendly children’s playground made of wood.

During the summer, the park has a cafe serving tasty pancakes with a variety of fillings, different snacks and ice cream.

The open-air stage in the Culture and Recreation Park hosts festivals, theatre performances, musicians’ concerts, folk art markets and other events.

The Culture and Recreation Park has a bust of the Latvian poet Rainis, which is why it is popularly known as the Rainis Park.
