Piloru oak grove

One of the rare oak groves in Latvia (area of 19.6 ha), nature protection status for which was granted already in 1928. Oldest oaks are around 300-400 years old. The oak grove is located aside of Ezernieki – Andzeļi road, there is a small parking lot, trail, informational stand, and recreation area with footbridge, with a view on the Lake Ežezers North bay and islands.

Here are the species of plants, mushrooms, and insects characteristic of the oak grove.
