The area of the nature park of local significance “Balkanu kalni” is about 20 hectares. The nature park “Balkanu kalni” is a scenically beautiful place with impressive relief.
Three hiking trails offer to view wooden sculptures, interesting natural objects, different types of forests, high hills and steep slopes, animal caves, and anthills. All 3 paths lead to a deep valley where, according to a legend, the church has sunk. In the herb garden, visitors can explore the world of fragrances, and try a variety of teas of herbs that are grown and harvested on the park’s territory.

Travelers are welcome to relax in picnic areas, make a fire, build a tent, and start their morning with the sounds of birds singing and bathing in a pond. In the winter the nature park “Balkanu kalni” offers outdoor enthusiasts a cross-country ski trail, one lap of which is 3.8 km in length. In the dark the lit part of the track which is 1.5 km long is available. Ski equipment rental is also offered.
