Mount “Sarkaņkalns” in a winter season awaits all lovers of active recreation, it is located around 10 kilometers from Rēzekne city. Here are available two ski-lifts and various tracks in a flat slope and floor slope, including sled slope, thus Sarkaņkalns will be a perfect place for various ages and skill levels.
Sarkaņkalns is the highest point in the nature park “Adamovas ezers” (lake of Adamova), it is 55,7 meters high and is located 203,5 a.s.l. From the top, a distant and marvelous view will delight everyone’s eyes. From here it is possible to see Lielais liepu kalns (Large linden hill) and Mākoņkalns (Cloud hill), which are located in the National park of Rāzna lake around 35 kilometers from Sarkaņkalns.
