There is a 3km long pedestrian pathway on the shore of Lielais Stropu Lake. The promenade connects Central Beach and the “Stropu vilnis” Beach. It is a great place to go for a walk, breathe in the fresh air, and spend time actively.

Central Beach offers a wide choice of leisure activities for everyone, for example, a pedestrian route for walks, which is illuminated at night, a bicycle path for cyclists, an open area for sports activities with the outdoor exercise equipment, a free beach volleyball court and other. For additional convenience, beach locker rooms, benches, parking spaces and other amenities are available for guests.

E–scooter rental service and electric bike and go-cart rental service “e-bike” is available for people who prefer sports and active leisure activities. Go-karts can be used by adults and children who are 3-years-old or older. Besides, the rental of sports equipment for SUP surfing is available.

A unique lake pontoon construction is available for visitors of the beach. The construction consists of the lake promenade, the 25-meter outdoor swimming pool with 4 lanes, a jumping tower, and a children’s swimming pool. There is also a seating area with umbrellas and lounge chairs that can be used for free.

Central Beach is suitable for families with children as the lakeshore is shallow and there is a playground near the beach. Kids can play different games, ride slides, and swing.

There is a “BUBA CLUB” beach cafe where you can refresh yourself with cold drinks and ice cream.

There is a Stropu Forest next to the lake, “Daugavpils Tarzāns” Adventure Park, Open Air Stropu Bandstand, Active Rest and Sports Track, and “Chill&Grill” Camping.

The most convenient way to go to Central Beach is by private car, tram No. 3 (get off at the “Stropu ezers” stop) or bus No. 3 and No. 12 (get off at the “Internātskola” stop).

Central Beach can also be reached by bicycle if you follow the regional cycle route No. 35 “Daugavas Loki”. The cycle route is marked with appropriate signs along the entire length. A bicycle parking rack is available at the beach.
