The only ammunition plant in the Baltic States, which is available for tourists, where is the oldest shot tower in Europe, that still works. Examination of historical devices of lead casting, with which molten lead gets the ideal bullet shape, falling from a height of 40 meters. There is a historical exposition of hunting ammunition. After the excursion, everyone can try products in the factory dash. Note: excursions are not conducted during the run time of the factory orders.

Daugavpils Lead Shot Factory is the third prize-winner in the competition of ECTN (European Cultural Tourism Network) – “Destination of Sustainable Cultural Tourism 2015” (the theme for 2015 was “Industrial Heritage Tourism”).

The excursion in the historical Daugavpils Lead Shot Factory(~ 1 hour – 1 hour 15 minutes)
The excursion includes:

A guided tour.
An exposition of the factory’s history, lead shot production, and hunting ammunition.
A visit to the historical production department and a demonstration of the old equipment. ATTENTION! The machines are turned on in the presence of visitors!
A film about the production process.
A test of the factory’s pneumatic ammunition in a shooting range (1 pcs.).

Climbing to the lead casting tower
The tour includes:

Climbing to the tower together with a guide.
A view from one of the highest places in Daugavpils city.

At the same time no more than 5 visitors! Children under 18 years can climb only in the presence of parents/guardians!

Shooting BASIC (pneumatic gun):

Shooting targets, tin cans, stand “carousel”, 15 shots.

Shooting ULTIMATE (pneumatic gun):

40 min of shooting.
Unlimited ammunition.
Shooting targets, tin cans, and stand “carousel”.
Stands with more than 50 targets.
