“White Horse” – it is the first art gallery in Daugavpils that is also culture space at the same time: it is a gallery, an art salon, and an art studio. The art gallery is located in the Daugavpils Fortress provisions magazine or food storage facility built in the 19th century near the open-air art object “Fortress Ghost” that represents a white horse. This is how it got its name “White Horse”. Authors of the art pieces exhibited in the gallery are artists well-known in the city and behind its borders who have formed an Artist Association of Daugavpils Region. It is possible not only to view the art pieces exhibited but also to buy them.

Opening hours of the art gallery during active tourism season: 11.00 a.m. till 6.00 p.m.

The second floor of the building houses the collection of historical costumes “Memory Chest”. It is a true ladies’ paradise where you can not only see but also try on splendid stylized garments and accessories of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
