Lielais Stropu Lake is the largest water body in Daugavpils that attracts many holidaymakers during the summer season. Every year International Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) designates a Blue Flag Award for high environmental and quality standards to Central Beach of Lielais Stropu Lake.

Central Beach of Lielais Stropu Lake offers a wide choice of leisure activities for everyone, for example, a pedestrian route for walks, which is illuminated at night, a bicycle path for cyclists, an open area for sports activities with the outdoor exercise equipment, a free beach volleyball court and other. For additional convenience, beach locker rooms, benches, parking spaces, and other amenities are available for guests. There is a beach cafe where you can refresh yourself with cold drinks and ice cream.

A unique lake pontoon construction is available for visitors to the beach. The construction consists of the lake promenade, the 25-meter outdoor swimming pool with 4 lanes, a jumping tower, and a children’s swimming pool. There is also a seating area with umbrellas and lounge chairs that can be used for free.

There is a Stropu Forest next to the lake, “Daugavpils Tarzāns” Adventure Park, Open Air Stropu Bandstand, Active Rest and Sports Track and “Chill&Grill” Camping.
