Kraslava Crafts Centre began its activities in 2021. The Centre hosts seven craft workshops where visitors can explore traditional crafts, create a clay whistle, work in a woodworking workshop, experience the interplay of colours and yarn in the weaving workshop, try making a glass mosaic souvenir in the glass décor workshop, create leather jewellery with their own hands, attend a lecture in the aroma workshop, and taste products by local home producers in the Latgale culinary heritage workshop.

Kraslava Crafts Centre offers:

Guided visits and tours of the Crafts Centre (free of charge);
Guided tours with demonstrations: approx. 30 minutes in each workshop;
Masterclasses: approx. 1 hour in each workshop;
The opportunity to purchase craft products available on site.

The following workshops operate at Kraslava Crafts Centre:

Ceramics workshop with Olga and Valdis Pauliņi (+371 26869346). The workshop can accommodate up to 40 people. Visitors learn about the craft and, under the guidance of potters, participate in creating a ceramic souvenir.
Woodworking workshop with Aivars Andžāns (+371 27062780). The workshop can accommodate up to 20 people. Visitors learn about the craft and, under the guidance of a master craftsman, participate in creating a wooden souvenir.
Weaving workshop with Aina Guba (+371 29255396). The workshop can accommodate up to 12 people. Visitors learn about the craft and, under the guidance of the weaver, create a woven or braided souvenir.
Glass décor workshop with Elvīra Škutāne (+371 28368537, kraslavasvitrzas.lv). The workshop can accommodate up to 20 people. Visitors learn stained glass making using the Tiffany technique and, under the guidance of the craftswoman, create a glass mosaic souvenir.
Aroma workshop with Mara Beļajeva (+371 20181001). The workshop can accommodate up to 20 people. Visitors learn about the diversity of aromatic raw materials and the use of incense, herbs, oils and perfumes. Practical masterclass cycles are also available. Depending on preference, the craftswoman leads practical or lecture-based sessions with aroma tastings and the creation of aromatic products.
Leather jewellery workshop with Ludmila Morozova (+371 28284191). The workshop can accommodate up to 10 people. Visitors learn about the process of creating leather jewellery, acquire basic skills, and create a leather jewellery souvenir under the guidance of the craftswoman.
Latgale culinary heritage workshop (+371 26395176) can accommodate up to 50 people. Visitors enjoy the culinary heritage of Kraslava Municipality, featuring products by local home producers (smoked products, bread, Kraslava cucumbers, cheese, tea, confectionery). Price: for groups (from 10 people) – 10 EUR/person.
