Ardava Manor – where history becomes an experience.

Ardava Manor is a historic 19th-century building with a fascinating and layered past. It has served as a school, an army headquarters during wartime, a library and a post office. Today, the manor is gradually coming back to life as an open and creative place where history meets culture, creativity, entrepreneurship and the local community.

The manor is now run by Maija, a local Latgalian, together with her husband Jamie. They are bringing new life to the manor while preserving its historic character and creating a space where cultural heritage meets creativity, entrepreneurship and community development.

Ardava Manor is a social enterprise and cultural heritage site welcoming individual travellers, families, groups of friends and organised groups of up to 50 people.

Visitors can explore the historic building, enjoy its atmosphere over a cup of coffee or tea, and take part in creative activities and events. The manor currently has a coffee and tea bar, inviting guests to slow down, meet, and enjoy the historic surroundings in a relaxed atmosphere.

One of the experiences available at the manor is the Postcard Atelier, a creative workshop that can be booked in advance. It invites visitors to discover Ardava Manor through its stories and create their own personal postcard – a small piece of the experience to take home.

During the summer season, Ardava Manor regularly hosts:

  • creative workshops and masterclasses;
  • cultural and community events;
  • team-building and corporate experience days;
  • meetings with clients and partners;
  • private and corporate events;
  • photo sessions and content creation for brands.

Ardava Manor is suitable for individual travellers, families, groups of friends and organised groups of up to 50 people.

Admission starts from €3 per person. Workshops, events and special experiences may have a separate participation fee.

Ardava Manor is a place where ideas become events, history becomes an experience, and encounters become inspiration.

The manor is open during the summer season, from May to August, and advance booking is required. Visitors can also follow the manor’s everyday life and upcoming activities on Instagram and Facebook.

Historical facts about Ārdavas Manor

The manor house of Ārdavas (also known as Jezufinova) was built in 1861 in the Neo-Renaissance style. Until 1922, it belonged to the Mol family of landowners. The owner, Vaclav Mols, established a school at the manor for the children of his servants.
