Rušenica castle mound

The Rušenica Castle Mound is situated on the right bank of the Ruša River, in the vicinity of Lake Rušona.

Anyone with an interest in history and archeology is recommended to visit this object of cultural history. An ancient settlement of the Bronze Age was researched on this site.

The use of the settlement dates back to the 8th-11th centuries. This castle hill had a military significance, and it was not used for habitation. The hill has never been farmed, so it is preserved in its original form.
