After Russian empire czarina Elizabete II order Catholic congregation properties were given orthodox church. Only in 1996 Rezekne-Aglona diocesan bishop his eminence Janis Bulis consecrated the new church. It was set up with great love and enthusiasm by deacon Janis Kupčs.

Prayer house is located in the premises of the former Soviet holding dispatcher station.

Church worships happen each Sunday at 10 o’clock.
